Terms of Use
Last updated: September 5, 2026
These terms govern the use of the WildVisor application and the wildvisor.org website. The service is provided by White Hat Mgmt LLC, a limited liability company incorporated in the United States of America. You can contact us at [email protected].
By using the app or website, you accept what is here. If you do not agree, do not use them.
1. What is WildVisor, and what is not
WildVisor identifies animals and plants from a photograph, provides information about the species, and warns you when it may be dangerous.
It is not an emergency service, nor a medical diagnosis, nor an expert identification. The identification is made by an automatic system and may be wrong, even with dangerous species. Always treat what you see as if it could be dangerous until you know otherwise.
The emergency numbers shown in the app are a help, not a calling service. They may change without us knowing. In an emergency, call the emergency number of your country.
2. Your account
You can use WildVisor without an account, as a guest. If you create one, you are responsible for your password and for what is done from your account.
To create an account, you must be at least 13 years old, and where the law requires more age for consent to data processing, the age required by that law.
You can delete your account at any time, from the app or by writing to us. How to do it and what is deleted is in Delete your account.
3. What you publish
When you share a sighting, it remains yours. You give us permission to show it within WildVisor — on the map, on the wall, and on the web — and for nothing else: we do not sell it, we do not assign it, and we do not use it for advertising.
By publishing, you confirm that the photo is yours or that you have the right to share it.
It is not published: people manipulating or harassing wildlife, animals injured by human action, weapons, violent or sexual content, or the deliberate location of protected species to facilitate their capture. We can remove any content that violates this, and close the account of anyone who insists.
4. Protected species
When a species is threatened, the server rounds the location before showing it to anyone. It is intentional and cannot be disabled: the exact location of a threatened animal is exactly what someone wants to capture it.
5. Subscription
WildVisor has free functions and a paid subscription. The payment is managed by the store from which you installed the app — Google Play or App Store —, with its conditions and its refund periods. We do not charge directly or store your card data.
The subscription is cancelled from your store account, not from here.
6. Availability and liability
We do our best to keep the service running, but we do not guarantee that it will work without interruptions or that the information will be accurate. In areas without coverage, it may not work at all.
To the extent that the law allows, we are not liable for damages resulting from the use of the service. This does not limit the rights that the law recognizes as a consumer and that cannot be waived, nor our liability for gross negligence or intent.
7. Changes
If we change these terms in a significant way, we will notify you in the app or on this page with reasonable notice. Continuing to use the service will be considered acceptance.
8. Applicable law
These terms are governed by the law of the state of incorporation of White Hat Mgmt LLC, in the United States. If you reside in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another territory whose law gives you the right to claim in the courts of your domicile, that right remains intact.
